About Call Me When You're Sober - Single

The single was released internationally as a CD and as a vinyl. The Australia CD spine featured a misspelled title (Call Me When You'r Sober) which was later corrected.

The song is about Amy Lee's ex-boyfriend. Incidentally, the boyfriend entered rehab for alcohol abuse on the same day that the single was released for the radio.

"It's kind of impossible to misinterpret the lyrics," said Lee. "I really wanted to say something and it's been said. You can't look at it a different way, and, you know, like typical to my lyric-writing, I guess you can apply it to your life and think of it in two or three different ways, which a lot of the writing is still that way. But sometimes, I just really wanted to say something, and I said it, and you can't hide from it." (Extended Exclusive Interview with Amy Lee)
