About Evanescence

Evanescence is a rock band led by singer/lyricist Amy Lee. The band started out when Lee was very young and released an EP around 1998. Their first studio album, Fallen, has been a chart-topper since 2003 and is still their best-selling album. Since the release of Fallen, Evanescence has released two studio albums, The Open Door (2006) and Evanescence (2011), and one live album, Anywhere But Home (2004). The band tours all around the world.

Although Evanescence produced several EPs and demo albums (including the full album, Origin, in 2000), they are not available on iTunes for purchase. Most of their pre-Fallen work is available at the following link; there is an excerpt from an interview in which the band members give the OK to download any of their EPs, which the site uses for a disclaimer--but please buy the albums you can on iTunes. Please note that the lyrics on this web site do not include specific live lyrics, even though slightly different versions of the songs were sometimes played depending on the tour (such as shortened acoustic versions, musically different intros, etc.). That would be redundant, so, with the exception of the released live versions, I have left off live lyrics.
