Albums: (Not for Your Ears)

This song was never intended to be released.

According to The Evanescence Reference, some person associated with the band made copies of their songs, including ones that he was not supposed to have. This person went on to share this particular song with a lot of people. However, it is a song the band asks that you not download, for the reason that it is a very personal song for Amy Lee.

Out of respect for the band, I have not included the lyrics here. If you really want them, I am sure you can find them elsewhere, but, since it was never released and was never meant to be, it is technically not an Evanescence song, and therefore should not be included on this website.

This song is beautiful. I downloaded it, not realizing that Amy Lee had wanted it to be private. Now that I know, it gives the song a whole new meaning... It makes you wonder why she wanted this song never to be shared. This song is personal to me as well. I know what it feels like to be so in love with someone that you'd die for them. Loving them and accepting their love for you changes how you feel about everything - yourself, other people, life in general. This song was very special to my partner and me. However, I have respect for sites that refuse to put up lyrics or a recording of it. I really wish that Amy would produce this song (also "Your Love", which she performed a few years ago live), but if she doesn't, I understand. Emotions can be powerful, and emotional art is a piece of the artist. This is just one piece of Amy that she doesn't want to share with everyone. She probably didn't release this song for the same reason she won't perform "Hello" live. If you listen to this song or just can't let go of it, understand the personal nature of it. Appreciate and respect it for what it is, and never trivialize it. It's not just a song. It's a part of someone's heart.
